This position will require you to be in Cleveland, OH
We are in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH

The Account Manager's responsibilities include being the primary point of contact and relationship expert for existing core accounts, or named accounts. Account Managers are responsible for developing long-term, trusted relationships with partners and ensuring they receive the highest ROI possible for their OverDrive investment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute specific action plans to retain and grow existing business within assigned territory or accounts.
  • Build relationships with assigned partners, facilitate issue resolution, and delight them with a positive, partner-centric experience.
  • Work with partners to grow their awareness and usage of Sora and ensure they find value in OverDrive products.
  • Facilitate the conversion of content credit to recognized revenue by engaging partners with specific plans to meet their school’s or classroom’s needs, and up-selling more content and/or new products to existing partners.
  • Work with partners to renew their OverDrive services.
  • Work cross-functionally to deliver exceptional partner experience and support, including onboarding, product training, and outreach marketing.
  • Efficiently manage time to focus on essential activities that ensure customer satisfaction, account growth, and renewal.
  • Execute prescribed sales activities supporting time of year/sales cycle, content promotions, product feature highlights, etc.
  • Maintain accurate and useful partner records in Salesforce, and track activities and account status updates as directed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-3 years’ of consultative sales experience, or K-12education experience.
  • Confident, proactive, and energetic; professional and team-oriented sales approach.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage cross group relationships within OverDrive (i.e., territory teams, marketing, training, etc.).
  • Team player.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Must acquire and maintain knowledge of OverDrive's products and strategies, competitors and software/mobile devices.
  • Outstanding Microsoft Office skills.
