About the Role:
We are seeking a Channel Account Manager with experience in coordinating a channel sales program, preferably for a manufacturing company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the order entry process from channel partners and distributors, ensuring smooth transactions and timely delivery. Additionally, you will actively seek out and establish partnerships with new channel partners to expand our market reach. The position requires strong business acumen and a deep understanding of channel network functions along with robust consultative and strategic selling abilities. You will drive revenue by building positive, highly productive internal and external relationships that will allow partners to become self-sufficient in marketing and selling STM products. The ideal candidate has a proven track record, is independently driven, extremely well organized, and proudly takes initiative and ownership of their everyday work.
Job Responsibilities
- Effectively identify, recruit and onboard new partners to expand STM Canna’s channel network and maximize market penetration.
- Initiate contact and develop relationships with prospective partners, presenting our products, value proposition, and partnership benefits.
- Process and manage orders received from channel partners and distributors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with channel partners to address order-related inquiries, resolve issues, and provide timely updates on order status.
- Distribute up-to-date materials on the machines, updates, promotions & special offers.
- Execute techniques, tools, and strategies for partner enablement to motivate partners and drive measurable success.
- Educate partners on new and existing products, processes, and effective sales techniques to empower their sales team.
- Assist upper management in consistently developing a profitable business model based on market trends and competitor activity.
- Conduct quarterly and annual business reviews with partners and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate local partner participation in events and training.
- Develop strategic knowledge of competitive distribution networks, products, pricing, and tactics.
- Regularly create and distribute partner inventory demand reports and insights.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and on-time delivery.
- Meet with Partners, participate in joint sales calls to customers and assist the Partner in closing opportunities.
Desired Qualifications
- Min. of 2+ years as a successful Channel Account Manager at a high growth B2B company
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Tech savviness (CRM, ERP, Google Suite, etc.)
- Reporting and analytics experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment as well as independently
- Comfortable developing new relationships every day, especially over Zoom and on the phone.
- Experience working in the cannabis industry and/or start-up environment is a plus
