DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Address performance issues in the overall infrastructure platform and systems as problems occur. Optimize and tune performance of long running Spark jobs. Develop application architecture and execute performance optimizations. Evaluate, select, implement, integrate, maintain, upgrade, document, troubleshoot, and design middleware infrastructure and associated platforms. Design tailored solutions to meet client specific request. Review and evaluate existing architecture for improvements and adherence to standards and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as an Infrastructure Engineer, Technology Architect, Software Engineer, Project Engineer, Help Desk Engineer, Cyber Representative, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Hadoop administration; HDFS; Hive; Yarn; Hbase; Spark development and troubleshooting; scripting with Bash and Python; Terraform; AWS solutions architect; AWS EKS; Kubernetes; Apache Nifi; and SQL.
Job Location: 8181 Communications Parkway, Plano, TX 75024. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
