IT Account Manager – Administration / Sales


GENERAL SUMMARY:

The IT Account Manager is the primary point of contact for sales and strategic service opportunities across all existing clients.


Along with their Managed Services and Project team, the IT Account Manager will establish and maintain long-term business relationships with all existing clients to become a trusted technology advisor, promote the sale of products and services offered by our company and advocate on their behalf with internal resources to ensure expectations are being met.


Separate from hunting and prospecting for new clients, the IT Account Manager focuses entirely on existing clients, and will work regularly with other members of the Sales team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as Managed Services, Business Voice, Purchasing, as well as Senior Management and Leadership representatives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, interpret customer requirements by speaking with clients to understand, anticipate their needs.
  • Expand client awareness of our products and our industry experience by communicating features and benefits of our products and services effectively
  • Process existing client sales opportunities; including quoting, procurement, and coordination with service delivery manager for handoff.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.
  • Coordinates company staff to provide exemplary service to clients.
  • Work with the engineering team to ensure customer project requirements are met
  • Maintaining records of customer communications and contact information as required within CRM
  • Maintain awareness of pertinent client information, future plans, payment performance; communicate any client information that may affect company decisions to appropriate departments as needed
  • Demonstrate and explain best practices in installation techniques for all company products
  • Is chiefly responsible for setting the customer’s expectations, for any sold product and service

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Meet Monthly Sales Quotas
  • Participate in Sales Accountability Meetings with Sales Manager
  • Participate in Service Accountability Meetings with Support Manager
  • Participate in periodic Technology Business Reviews with Clients
  • Schedule for and Plan to Attend Company-Sponsored Civic and Community Events

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • BA/BS in Business Administration or come from Southern California and have MSP experience
  • 4 – 5 years of IT or related experience or hospitality/Restaurant because hotel/Restaurants guests can be difficult
  • 2 years of management experience of humans or dogs
  • 1+ years experience in Customer Service is required.
  • Ability to type 60+ WPM (words per minute).
