Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and developing strategic plans that align with our company's goals. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of sales acumen, project management skills, and expertise in customer relationship management to effectively negotiate and close deals.

Duties

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Utilize CRM for tracking sales activities, managing customer interactions, and reporting on business development progress.
  • Create strategic plans that outline business objectives, target markets, and competitive analysis.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure profitable partnerships.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients, showcasing the value of our products/services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategies that drive growth.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present ideas clearly.
  • A strategic thinker who is results-oriented and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Your role will be to identify and target potential new customers and referral sources, including but not limited to Insurance Agents, Property Managers, Plumbers, Fire/Emergency Response teams, Real Estate Agents, and more. As well as attend community events, networking groups and meetings.

From water and storm damage restoration to mold mitigation, fire/smoke/odor removal, our team is equipped with the expertise and advanced techniques to deliver outstanding results.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to take the lead in establishing connections with individuals and organizations, arranging strategic meetings, and building relationships with key decision-makers to generate referrals for our restoration services. Your primary goal will be to secure commitments from these potential referral sources, driving growth and expanding our reach.

In addition, you will play a crucial role in nurturing and maintaining strong relationships with our existing customers and referral partners. Through regular phone and in-person interactions, you will ensure their ongoing loyalty and support, enhancing customer retention and reinforcing our network of dependable referral sources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential new customers and referral sources, including but not limited to Insurance Agents, Property Managers, Plumbers, Fire/Emergency Response teams, Real Estate Agents, and more.
  • Develop and maintain organized sales route records.
  • Conduct sales calls to schedule meetings with target referral prospects.
  • Secure commitments from customers, resulting in referrals for restoration services.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports promptly.
  • Attend and actively participate in weekly sales meetings.
  • Maintain consistent phone and in-person contact with existing customers to strengthen relationships.
  • Keep the customer contact database updated and accurate.
  • Deliver group presentations to prospective organizations such as BNI, Community Business Alliance, and other networking agencies.
  • Engage actively and effectively in trade, community, and networking organizations.
  • Participate in networking activities and events to build and maintain a strong referral network.

Qualifications

  • Education:Associate degree in business, marketing, or related field with a bachelor’s degree preferred.Four (4) to six (6) years of experience with relationship selling to high-level executives.
  • Selling Skills: Understands and effectively applies the concepts of differentiation and adding value. Knows customer markets, the issues, and the challenges they face, and can translate that information into useful selling strategies. Builds long-term relationships that drive increased revenue and demand for services.
  • Financial Reports and Documents: Understands the concepts and content of financial reports: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
  • Mathematical Skills: Possesses strong math skills. Able to translate information regarding a prospect’s business into estimated revenue potential. Comfortable comparing actual performance to established plans for selling activity and revenue generation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
