Violumas is seeking a self-motivated and passionate individual with a strong background in engineering to support the sales, marketing, and engineering teams.

The Technical Sales Engineer will serve as a key technical advisor to client interactions and will be responsible for driving the technical evaluation stage of design projects. The candidate will be based in the Violumas Headquarters office in Fremont, California, supporting clients and projects around the world.

Responsibilities:

• Create, increase, and maintain sales of UV LED products and solutions with new and existing customers and cultivate strong customer relationships
• Provide technical support on all levels to help foster business development activity
• Investigate customer application requirements and prepare technical proposals, to be presented in collaboration with the Sales Team
• Provide design support for customized solutions through collaboration with the multi-disciplinary Engineering Team
• Create technical reports, presentations, application notes, product guidelines, and technical resources
• Conduct any necessary hands-on testing related to real-life application requirements
• Participate in technical conferences/trade shows and research industry trends to understand and plan for emerging UV applications

Requirements:

• Degree (minimum BS) in engineering related field (background in Optoelectronics or Optomechanical preferred)
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in LED or related industry
• Experience and knowledge of UV applications is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
