CARVART National Sales Director
The National Sales Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading a focused sales strategy for CARVART including hiring, developing, and leading a team of independents reps.
This position will direct sales and manage the promotion, organization and guidance of sales policies and practices to provide maximum market penetration of CARVART solutions. Charged with leading a national team of independent reps and developing the necessary resources to attain aggressive growth targets, this is a highly visible position and serves as a critical component of the overall CARVART strategy.
The essential job functions of the National Sales Director are:
- Partner with VP of Sales/Marketing to develop strategic plans to increase market share and maximize return on marketing investments.
- Partner with BD team member(s) on National Accounts opportunities to ensure local reps have what they require to be successful.
- Develop & Execute the Sales Plan and provide regularly scheduled updates and forecasts for monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.
- Cultivate long-term, sustainable, value-based relationships with core accounts that elevate revenue opportunities and increase market share within each market through in-person and virtual presentations, networking, and marketing.
- Develop and implement sales strategies specific to each reps’ strengths and weaknesses and develop rep’s weaknesses trough product training, presentation development, process training and standardized sample kits.
- Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes to provide feedback on behalf of the reps, clients and market conditions on competitive information, product development, marketing initiatives, and best practices back to the company.
- Identify challenges and work to mitigate obstacles that may negatively alter our growth or shift the strategic direction of the organization.
To be successful, this person would have the following skills, knowledge, and abilities:
- Demonstrated success in Sales Leadership role
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Knowledge of change management, communications, and training best practices.
- Hands on experience building valuable customer (Internal & External) relationships.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback to team members to support continuous improvement and positive behavioral change.
- Effective internal consulting skills along with the ability to positively influence others in a desired direction to achieve identified outcomes without direct lines of authority.
- Strong understanding of the construction and design process
- Technical product knowledge for interior architectural products
- Regularly maintains a consummate Professional Demeanor
- Comfortable in fast-paced environment with ability to learn quickly and think analytically
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
