Job Description

Looking for an individual to work in a small team environment and who is willing to do a little bit of everything. This position will participate in the ETL development, deployment and operation of an enterprise-wide data warehouse, Business Intelligence reporting and data integration projects. You will work to understand the detailed data integration, warehousing and reporting requirements and provide on-going integration development for all enterprise database applications.

Primary Job Responsibilities (consists of but are not limited to):

Design and develop database and data marts, stored procedures, and other SQL Server Database objects to support state of the art cloud based and on-premise web applications, data warehouse, BI reporting and ETL
Participate in all phases of data migration, including design, development, and testing
Perform general database activities (debug scripts/procedures, participate in code reviews, database tuning, database optimization), performance tuning, etc.
Review and analyze business requirements, consult with Data Warehouse Manager, Project Manager and Business Analyst to understand business requirement for database development and reports being implemented, create and update milestones and project timeline estimates
Review and analyze existing jobs, and design the extraction processes - for both optimizing efficiency, and conformance with new warehouse naming convention and design
Use data mining, model building, other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business
Practice standard development process leveraging Waterfall and agile methodologies (Wagile)
Provide training and assistance to users for ad-hoc analysis and ad-hoc requests
Maintain exemplary company standards
Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills:

Degree in Information Systems or related field (Math, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent in work experience)
At least three years of database ETL development experience preferably MS SQL Server, including T-SQL, and stored procedure
Data modeling experience a plus
Experience with data integration/ETL work with 3rd party vendors a plus
Experience in developing reports and Dashboards a plus
Knowledge of data profiling and data quality concepts and techniques
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Self-motivated and self-driven is a must
Ability to work on a team; be a team player with a good attitude with limited supervision
Ability to accommodate continuous and repetitive hand and arm movement on keyboard and look at computer screens for long periods
U.S. Citizenship - qualified to work in the United States

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
