Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Territory Manager to oversee sales and account management activities within an assigned geographical area. The ideal candidate will drive sales growth, build strong customer relationships, and implement strategic initiatives to expand market share.
Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:
- Meet or exceed sales forecast/goals.
- Expand customer base – both direct OEM and distribution.
- Travel to customers and distributors to develop, maintain, and improve relationships and business opportunities. (Customer facing)
- Submit weekly travel itinerary to Regional Sales Mgr.
- Facilitate and participate in distributor training sessions.
- Initiate buddy calls with distributors
- Follow up on sales leads and input customer opportunities into the CRM.
- Monitor open order report weekly, and ensure repeat customers are ordering within lead times.
- Keep Customer Service and Application Engineering team informed of all account activity on a weekly basis.
- Travel to Connecticut office as needed.
- Participate in trade shows and sales meetings as required.
- Prepare annual sales forecast for assigned territory.
- Submit expense reports on time (due each week).
- Provide monthly reports on account activity (Monthly Project List, Disty/Project Narrative) due at the end of every month.
- Provide sales call/conference call reports as needed.
- Special assignments as required.
- Adhere to the Company’s Travel Policy.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Recommended Education and/or Experience
- Bachelors Degree in a related technical field; or minimum five years related experience is ideal.
- Manufacturing and/or Distribution field sales experience within the product and technology for electronic and industrial system products is highly valued.
