A great career opportunity that offers flexibility, candidates should have their BA/BS degree and/or be a recent graduate. 1-3 years of previous field sales experience (small to medium size businesses) is preferred, however, we are looking for someone with the right attitude and energy which will be sufficient in lieu of experience. Each day, our Sales Executives actively network with local business owners to discuss their needs to provide comprehensive and powerful digital advertising solutions to better engage their customers. Here at the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder, we help local businesses in generating more revenue through print, website, E-newsletter and social platforms. Daily Responsibilities

  • Utilize consultative sales skills to assess client needs and educate on the power of our products and services to enhance business opportunities
  • Work directly in the field to research and cultivate leads to build a strong pipeline of growth
  • Strong focus on continuously meeting and exceeding sales goals on a monthly basis
  • Network within the local community to promote the MSR brand and services to launch businesses to the next levels of success
  • Utilize entrepreneurial mindset to manage territory through creative communication and marketing strategies to engage local businesses
  • Effectively manage, support and continually update CRM system with all appointments, pitches and spending dollars.

General Responsibilities

  • Each month you’ll be expected to meet budget and have the opportunity to exceed sales budget utilizing an array of methods from networking, exploring existing relationships, engaging decision makers and key influences, cold calling, etc. A large portion of your time will be spent in the field.
  • Serve as an industry expert to educate decision makers and build rapport by keeping up with the latest trends to break down barriers and close sales.
  • Follow processes with accuracy and attention to detail such as collecting data, contracts, etc. and moving them through the appropriate channels

Desired Experience

  • BA/BS degree and/or 1-3 years of previous field digital sales experience (small to medium size businesses).
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding goals.
  • CRM experience.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Able to work/learn in fast paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and creative thinking.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
