Overview:
The Alternate Communication SecurityAccount Manager will support NASA requiring experience across all security disciplines and government agencies with an emphasis on clearance processing and personnel security, communications security, classified information systems security and physical security. Coordinates and monitors highly sensitive aspects of the DOD, Intelligence Community, other industrial security programs and related security activities, ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a Security Education and Training Program Plan as outlined in NASA Procedural Requirements.
- Develop and publish a quarterly security awareness newsletter for distribution to all Center personnel.
- Utilize a COMSEC Material Control System to safeguard and account for classified and unclassified COMSEC Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCIs).
- Maintain accurate records of all COMSEC transactions.
- Provide for the destruction of CUI/SBU/FOUO material in accordance with applicable regulations and directives.
- Conduct semi-annual inventories and Hand Receipt Holder inspections.
- Conduct audits of all material in the COMSEC account as directed by the Central Office of Record (COR).
- Promptly forward all account changes to the Central Office of Record (COR)
- Advise and train COMSEC Hand Receipt Holders on policies and procedures.
- Provide technical assistance by configuring, loading, installing, and troubleshooting COMSEC equipment.
- Initiate investigations concerning possible or actual violations and reporting to the Central Office of Record (COR).
- Interface with internal/external customers to identify COMSEC requirements and provide COMSEC solutions.
- Support collateral, SCI, and/or Special Access Programs (SAP).
- Provide day to day control and operation of the active SCIFs scheduling of secure conference meetings and maintenance of all required documentation
- Conduct all phases of the SCIF accreditation processes.
- Required to follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner.
- Complies with department policies, rules, and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned
- TS/SCI Clearance.
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a COMSEC Account Manager (CAM) or COMSEC C Responsible Officer (CRO).
- Possess a high school diploma.
- Can apply information security management knowledge and remain current on national level security policies.
