Job Description

Under the direction of and reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, the Account Manager provides day-to-day support to our customer accounts and serves as a primary point of contact between the customer and the company. Build and maintain successful relationships with customers, initiating communication with decision-makers to assess their needs.

  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding company performance metrics for driving continuous improvement and making well-informed decisions for manufacturing activities, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
  • Grow new business with current accounts in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager, Customer Service Representative, and other team members.
  • Understand customer capabilities, equipment & specifications as well as needs and wants of a project and communicate this to the organization so appropriate structures can be suggested.
  • Gather necessary information to develop quotes and capture new business with current customers or maintain existing business while also assisting in forecasting/budgeting sales for accounts.
  • Initiate internal communication of customer requirements on testing & regulatory requests needed to provide customer with accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Enter & manage customer projects through sales process including orders for new & sample items.
  • Coordinate problem-solving efforts (invoice resolution, quality issues, customer complaints, etc.) to communicate a resolution to the customer.
  • Travel to and entertain customers (with the Regional Manager) to strengthen the relationship. Invite customers to Glenroy to demonstrate manufacturing capabilities and offer press approvals and audit opportunities.

  • Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities. Works in conjunction with the Safety Manager to establish and maintain all policies and programs to assure a safe working environment. Complies with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Experience

Preferred
  • Experience within the Packaging Industry preferred.
  • 2 year(s): 2+ years of related experience in sales, marketing, and manufacturing business processes.
  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
