Job Description

The Landscape Account Manager is a representative that both our employees and clients trust. The position ensures that company's quality and customer service standards are consistently achieved through proper personnel, account, vendor and partner management. This includes, but is not limited to, sales, estimating, budgeting, invoicing, and quality control through management of horticultural practices, site personnel, and company assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Adhere to GreenRock Landscapes customer service standards to ensure excellent customer service and maximize overall client satisfaction.

  • Serve as the customer service liaison and advocate between management, clients, and field team members.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure customer satisfaction and audit quality of services provided.
  • Present a professional attitude and appearance at all times.

Develop maintenance personnel through team building and education.

  • Lead, train, monitor, and evaluate the performance of employees to meet individual and team targets.
  • Set clear goals and expectations, delegate responsibility, and hold team members accountable to reaching their goals.
  • Support team member’s professional development to foster employee engagement and meet organizational strategic initiatives.
  • Act as the division decision maker to recruit, interview, select, hire, and onboard new employees.

Develop and capture new business.

  • Build a strong customer base by identifying prospective clients, while creating relationships to generate referrals with new and existing clientele.
  • Actively educate clients on best management practices and perform regular property walk-throughs to identify services to improve the site.
  • Identify upsell opportunities at each site to maximize sales and to keep each site looking its best on behalf of the customer.

Work within designated deadlines and budgets, manage jobs, personnel, equipment and supplies to maximize the divisions financial health.

  • Assist in scheduling, overseeing, and planning field operations in conjunction with the field supervisor to achieve the client’s expectations while complying with all company policies/procedures and safety regulations and adhering to contract specifications.
  • Monitor job profitability by customer and site.
  • Monitor quality of maintenance sites and communicate issues to the appropriate field supervisor and customer when necessary.
  • Monitor hours used vs budgeted hours for each site throughout the season and communicate with the appropriate field supervisor when needed.

EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience in horticulture and/or landscape construction.
  • Extensive experience with team building and managing personnel.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Horticultural knowledge and proficiency with landscape operations is a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and capable of working in a team environment is required.
  • Must be able to work with designated field staff to meet or exceed the company and client’s expectations.
  • Can direct and carry out tasks related to job monitoring, invoicing, scheduling, and job tracking for entire assigned portfolio.
  • Must possess valid Florida Driver’s License and be insurable by company insurance carriers.
