Corley Oaks is looking for a highly motivated Account Manager to join our Family of Companies and to cultivate and nurture robust partnerships with our customers, all the while enhancing sales performance in the assigned territory. This is an Outside Sales position.
This prospective team member will be a "go getter" with excellent follow-up skills who provides solutions, adds value, and builds and maintains strong relationships with our customers, while maintaining a work-life balance. We services businesses in the Midland/Odessa area with a wide range of customers such as: health care facilities, industrial businesses, municipalities, education and religious institutions, day care, automotive, restaurants and convenience stores with over 1500 products!
The base salary for this position is $60K PLUS Bonuses, a Variety of Benefits, AND Opportunity to Participate our Unique and Rewarding Annual Profit Sharing Program!
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Visiting all the stores in the designated area, selling new accounts and identifying new opportunities, and following up with contacts.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction concerning sales of any and all company products and/or services
- Provide a positive and professional image for the company
- Maintain an accurate customer account list and remain in constant contact with established customers
- Maintaining or exceeding assigned sales volume and profit margin and keeping up to date with changes in the industry
- Providing weekly schedules with specific customers visited & turn in weekly reports to the Regional Sales Manager
- Develop new sales strategies and promote the sales of Corley Oaks Distribution
- Local/regional travel required
Qualifications and skills:
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma required, college degree in Business with a Major in Sales or Marketing preferred (other college degrees accepted if approved by management)
- Valid Texas driver’s license required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience required
- Experience in the janitorial/paper industry preferred
- Ability to understand the needs of business accounts through conversational interaction and converting those needs into sales required
- Ability to do routine business math calculations including computation of sales costs with comparison with other vendors of janitorial supplies
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written required
- Maintains a well-groomed appearance as appropriate for the position
