Our impact is felt in hundreds of thousands of apartments and hotel rooms, with a visionary goal to surpass 60,000 units sold annually by 2030. Over the last four years, we have grown through strategic acquisitions of proven industry players, increased our product capacity and lineup, expanded our reach and distribution capabilities, have been featured two years in a row in the Globe and Mail's Canada's fastest-growing companies list and surpassed our 2023 vision 26 months ahead of schedule.
Who we need
We are adding an Account Manager to our team, reporting to the Director of Sales. As the new Account Manager, you will play a key role in customer retention, customer acquisition, and ongoing service and sales support. Managing a portfolio of accounts, you will organically grow and expand your book of business by developing and closing leads from current customers and preferred vendor partnerships the company participates in.
At Genuine Comfort, we are mission-driven, with a visionary CEO at our helm and a group of expert leaders working together to gain traction as we position ourselves as the distributor of choice in the industry. You will be a key player in our growth and success, channeling your exceptional relationship-building, influencing, and communication skills to close deals and grow accounts.
This is an on-site role in Markham, Ontario, with the option of working remotely one day a week.
What's in it for you
Impact. We are the number one room air conditioner provider in the country. This is a chance to join us at this pivotal time and be a critical contributor to our present and our future.
Rewards. You are looking for the chance to earn an impressive income. You will enjoy the freedom of an uncapped commission structure, where your income potential is limitless.

- Nurture relationships. You will proactively engage, build relationships with and retain existing repeat clients in our PTAC replacement market. You will respond to customer inquiries and maintain up-to-date records in our CRM system. You will coordinate with marketing and inside sales to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to managing accounts.
- Close deals through proactive activity. You will be making 30-50 proactive outreaches daily through phone, email, and LinkedIn to current customers and leads. You will uncover referrals and testimonials by requesting customer feedback.
- Customer Support and Issue Resolution. You will serve as the primary point of contact for any issues or concerns raised, ensuring a swift resolution and maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Communication. You will regularly report on account status to senior management, providing insights and updates that inform decision-making.
You bring:
- The experience. You have experience in business development and B2B product sales. You are comfortable using a CRM and can quickly learn new tools and products. You thrive in an autonomous role, managing your time and leads and growing your knowledge of our sales approach and vision. You can overcome challenges, including the “no” or the loss of an account, pivoting to win back the sale.
- The communication skills. You have outstanding professional written, verbal, and presentation skills. You ask intelligent questions to obtain information, identify root causes, and determine a solution. You have exceptional conflict management and negotiation abilities.
- The interpersonal skills. You can build trusting relationships within and across teams and with customers. You are naturally curious and can channel your inquisitiveness into asking probing questions that build connections, uncover true motivations, and lead to long-term relationships.
- The accountability. You are self-motivated and can make proactive or rapid decisions based on experience and knowledge. You are honest and open, truly passionate about connecting people with great products. You are incredibly organized and detail-oriented, never losing track of a conversation thread. You know how to uncover the pieces of the puzzle and put them together to grow sales and engagement. You are results-driven and resilient.
With a developed and cohesive leadership team, and a robust entrepreneurial operating system, we are small but mighty, with the internal structure and processes to support our growth. Every action we take is focused on gaining traction every day, being held accountable to our objectives, and communicating openly so that we are all on the same page and in alignment with our vision. Our commitment to our people and our mission ensures that those who share our passion for growing are recognized and rewarded. This is a place where everyone is equipped with the support and the autonomy to make decisions and to learn from mistakes. Your contributions will directly influence our journey, allowing you to move the needle, innovate to meet challenges and achieve our collective goals.
