Job Description
An ideal candidate for this position and will become an expert in the Zenventory Warehouse Management System. You'll serve in a hybrid role that combines technical support, customer service, and product training to sustain and grow our subscriber base. Your ability to quickly learn our warehouse management system, solve routine and complex customer problems quickly, deal with demanding customers, and focus on customer retention and growth is instrumental in this position. You must reside in Arizona to earn this position.
What you will do:
- Become an expert in Zenventory Warehouse Management software and the industries we serve.
- Field inbound phone calls and tickets from existing customers to help promptly resolve any product questions and document bug reports. Serve as an internal resource for other support agents and our dealer network.
- Work as a technical sales agent. Reach out to warm leads to schedule virtual demos of Zenventory (no cold calling). Earn bonuses by closing leads and onboarding and training new customers. Guide new users from signup to successful launch.
- Listen & document customer feedback to help us make the software better.
- Account retention: Review activity within existing accounts to proactively identify problems and opportunities within the user base.
- Help test new features & bug fixes: Provide backup to our QA team during any downtime.
Qualifications you need:
- 1+ year of success in technical support, technical sales, customer service, account management, or a similar role. Experience with SaaS (Software As A Service) is a plus.
- Have a strong sense of curiosity about how things work and a natural talent for finding the root causes of problems.
- Articulate writing style and good grammar. You’ll be the voice of the company to our customers, and most communications will be in written form. You will frequently need to break down complex concepts into simple, understandable terms. Collaboration with your teammates will also often be in written form (Slack/email).
- Self-motivated team player: This is not a lone wolf position. You must maintain good working relationships with your colleagues so you can team up to solve problems when needed, whether they are salespeople, engineers, technicians, or executives. That said, we’re a small team that doesn’t favor micromanagement, so you’ll need the ability to work well with minimal supervision on your day to day, non-collaborative duties after your training period.
- Efficient in multitasking: You should enjoy a fast-paced environment where new challenges emerge regularly and be comfortable prioritizing these.
- Ambition + Ethics: The ideal candidate will have the ability and self-motivation to maximize their own professional success by delivering genuine value and impressive service to our clients.
Bonus points for:
- Demonstrate the ability to write custom scripts using XML and JSON
- Familiarity with how APIs work.
- Familiarity with inventory, retail, e-commerce, warehousing, or shipping.
- Bachelor’s degree (but relevant real-world experience is a fine substitute)
- Basic understanding of what APIs are and how they are used.
