Position
We are looking for a Unified Communications Sales Engineer who wants to join a winning team. The Unified Communications Sales Engineer is responsible for local industry training, design and demonstration for Mitel & Intermedia phone solutions. Our solutions require an understanding of UC desktop and mobile applications, unified messaging, contact center, SIP and carrier network architectures. We help our customers achieve business success through the proper design, implementation, and support of our solutions.
This position is an on-site position out of our office in Orange, CA.
The successful candidate will possess a combination of technical skills and solution selling. They must be able to communicate effectively to a wide range of users and provide unparalleled customer service in a fast-paced, vibrant team environment. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and provide sales support and demos to our sales force.
Essential Job Duties
- Work with sales to develop advanced system configurations and system design in response to customer needs and requirements.
- Perform advanced technical presentations for customers, and prospects remotely and in-person.
- Provide technical and sales support in assigned territory.
- Create Scope of Work for sales
- Assist with the development of formal sales plans proposals.
- Provide direct support for the technical fulfilment of RFI's, RFQ's and RFP's in their assigned territory.
- Create customer pilot/proof of concept solutions
- Actively participate as a SME for certain products and technologies, providing consultative support to other Sales Engineers, assigned sales teams and customers.
- Support sales engineering team virtual lab environments
- Transfer industry, technical, and product knowledge to assigned sales teams and customers
- Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services.
- Must be willing to travel occasionally and work outside of normal business hours.
- Maintain and track Sales appointments and closed opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience with installing and supporting Mitel and Intermedia solutions preferred but other enterprise products are welcome
- At least 2 years knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Voice, Video, Mobile Communications, Fixed Mobile Convergence, Contact Center, Business Applications and Integrations.
- Basic networking skills including protocol and compliance knowledge required
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and data center architectures, network security knowledge a plus but not required.
- Requires an action-oriented individual with a very strong initiative to be successful.
- Positive attitude, attention to details, and sense of urgency in all work efforts
- Customer service-oriented and problem solver
- Must be able to coordinate across various groups and functional teams.
- Ability to teach other members of the team and act as a mentor as required.
- Ability to complete job responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate ability to implement, drive and track projects.
- Ability to apply solutions, technology and products to a business opportunity.
- 1 year of technical sales experience preferred
