Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and creative Design Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and a strong ability to connect with clients to understand their needs. As a Design Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in guiding customers through the design process, providing expert advice on remodeling projects, and helping them visualize their dream spaces using CAD software. Your ability to communicate effectively and sell design solutions will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to assess their design needs and preferences.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and layouts for remodeling projects.
- Provide expert advice on materials, colors, and design trends.
- Conduct outside sales activities to generate new business opportunities.
- Negotiate project details and pricing with clients while ensuring satisfaction.
- Upsell additional services and products that enhance client projects.
- Maintain knowledge of retail math to assist in pricing and budgeting discussions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless project execution from concept to completion.
Experience
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in a retail or design environment.
- Familiarity with remodeling processes and design principles is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with clients while maintaining positive relationships.
- Experience with CAD software is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- A background in outside sales or upselling techniques will be beneficial.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $47,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
