Branch Sales Manager | Competitive Pay | Quarterly Bonus
The sales manager will be responsible for all aspects of the sales department. This responsibility includes the management, leadership, and development of the district sales staff.
General
- Develop and implement the marketing strategy for the division and lead the sales team in achieving the goals and objectives of the company including the gross margin and tons goals for the facility.
- Travel throughout the area to gather information regarding the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and competition, provides a marketing plan the territory, and develops customer relationships.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and reviews, analyzes, and makes recommendations from monthly and quarterly reports.
Leadership / Management
- Communicate the vision and the goals and objectives of the company to all sales personnel.
- Evaluate and document employee’s behavior, accomplishments, and performance.
- Provide leadership to the sales department to achieve the goals and objectives of the company and individual territories.
- Handle disciplinary action within the department including counseling statements, warnings, documentation of all disciplinary actions, and if necessary, terminations.
- Travel with district sales staff as an ongoing training/development plan of everyone to maintain energy, vision, marketing knowledge, sales abilities, and personal sales skills.
Sales Growth / Profitability
- Analyze the market areas and provide a marketing strategy in each existing territory to increase market share and tons as per the goals.
- Participate in the development of presentations and provide an action plan to close sales in a professional, effective, and ethical manner.
- Make regular sales calls to ensure customer satisfaction and to increase and develop customer relationships.
- Analyze internal and external costs and make effective decisions to ensure that the profitability of the company is maintained or increased according to the direction from the President and/or the Vice President of Sales.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills (oral and written).
- Must handle conflict resolution within and between departments and ensure the resolution is handled effectively and professionally.
- Must have proficient Excel knowledge.
