Job Description
Nilight is seeking a dynamic and experienced National Sales Manager to lead and expand its national sales operations for auto parts, focusing on automotive lighting and accessories. The role involves developing strategic partnerships with major distributors, such as AutoZone, and other large-scale retail and distribution channels. This individual will play a critical role in executing Nilight’s growth strategy, ensuring increased market penetration and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth, particularly through partnerships with major national distributors such as AutoZone and similar companies.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine the sales approach and identify new business opportunities.
2. Distributor Development:
- Identify, negotiate, and establish partnerships with large-scale distributors, wholesalers, and retailers, expanding Nilight’s market reach.
- Lead initiatives to onboard new distributors, ensuring a smooth integration of Nilight products into their supply chain.
3. Team Leadership & Management:
- Oversee and mentor the national and regional sales teams, aligning them with Nilight’s national sales objectives.
- Set clear performance targets, conduct regular reviews, and provide coaching to ensure sales team effectiveness.
4. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including major auto parts retailers like AutoZone, and foster long-term partnerships.
- Act as the primary point of contact for large distributors and key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and exploring opportunities for growth.
5. Market Expansion:
- Lead efforts to expand Nilight’s product portfolio across the U.S. through various sales channels, focusing on increasing product presence in major distributors’ stores.
- Leverage market research and sales data to identify opportunities for new distributor partnerships and regional expansions.
6. Sales Performance & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze sales performance data to assess progress against goals and adjust strategies as needed.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for improvements.
7. Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with overall business goals.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and operations teams to guarantee product availability and timely delivery to distributors.
8. Budget & Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the national sales budget, ensuring all sales activities operate within the allocated budget and achieve targeted ROI.
- Collaborate with finance to forecast sales revenue, set pricing strategies, and manage discounts for major distributors.
9. Training & Development:
- Provide regular training for the sales team on new products, market changes, and best sales practices to keep them competitive and informed.
- Promote continuous learning and professional development within the team.
10. Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all sales operations comply with industry regulations, company policies, and distributor agreements.
- Address and resolve any disputes or risks related to distributor agreements and sales activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is preferred.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in sales within the auto parts or automotive industry, with a strong focus on distributor development and management. Experience in working with major distributors like AutoZone is a significant plus.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing and developing a high-performing sales team.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the auto parts industry, particularly in automotive lighting and accessories.
- Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and growing market share.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to use data for decision-making, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in CRM software, sales management tools, and basic financial analysis.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with large-scale distribution networks and retail channels like AutoZone, O’Reilly, or NAPA.
- Knowledge of automotive parts and trends.
- Ability to travel nationwide to meet with distributors and manage sales teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $89,401.00 - $102,145.00 per year
