Responsibilities

This is first and foremost a SALES role. A successful restoration specialist is driven and organized. In the beginning it is mostly cold calls (door knocking/canvassing) and relationship building with potential clients. Once you start filling your pipeline, the organization piece really kicks in. You could meet with an insurance adjuster in the morning, follow-up/supplementing visits during the day, and canvassing or signing build orders in the evening. Activity is very important. We are limited on the amount of daylight and weather that lets us do our job so just sitting around is never acceptable.

The restoration specialist is tasked with knowing as much as possible about the job (the learning never stops). Identifying storm damage, understanding good building practices, knowing how to frame a discussion with an adjuster, being “tech savvy”, building trust and rapport with clients are just some of the most important parts of the role.
