Job Description
SUMMARY
The Corporate Sales Director is responsible for the direction and oversight of all sales activities, including developing sales strategies, establishing sales targets, executing strategic sales plans, leading sales teams, managing key accounts, maintaining and building relationships with corporate clients, ensuring increased revenue, and promoting the overall growth of the sales department.

- Develop and execute sales strategies in alignment with the company’s business goals.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with prospective and key clients.
- Identify emerging markets and shifts in the industry that might present opportunities and/or threats.
- Develop sales forecast and maintain accountability for sales goal achievements, including but not limited to respective key metrics and budget achievements.
- Implement comprehensive business strategies, sales goals, and marketing plans.
- Provide accurate sales forecast and contribute to the setting of budget priorities for the company.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Identify new market opportunities and lead expansion efforts.
- Mentor and train sales representatives and managers, enhancing their skills and performance.
- Set individual sales targets with the sales team and mentor performance to ensure they are met and/or exceeded.
- Conduct routine meetings with sales personnel to review sales activity and performance, customer retention and growth, and identify production and training trends.
- Identify training needs and opportunities; develops and implements a plan for meeting training needs.
- Cultivate collaborative working environment by encouraging and fostering open communication among sales team members and promoting positive teamwork dynamics.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations of sales managers.
- Handle discipline and terminations of sales staff in accordance with company policy.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to network and promote company’s interests.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure brand consistency and increase sales.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a role that includes supervising or managing sales personnel activity required.
- Experience in the environmental, industrial cleaning, or waste disposal services preferred.
- Understanding of business principles and practices including margins and profit to help tailor opportunities.
- Experience developing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies.
- Experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system required.
- Proven record of success with the entire sales process, from planning to closing.
- Ability to foster teamwork and enlist the support and participation of others.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
POSITION TYPE & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:30am to 3:30pm to maintain full-time status. 50% of the time spent in this role is spent in the office focusing on office/administrative duties and 50% is spent traveling to meet with regional sales managers in order to maintain and foster working relationships between the sales manager and sales personnel.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel is expected for this position. Up to 50% expected.
