Ajoya is an innovative, family-owned, Colorado cannabis company focused on delivering the best possible customer experiences. We are seeking a self-driven person who happily works in a team environment. Our recreational and medical location in Lakewood is currently looking for a full-time sales consultant / budtender.
The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in cannabis with knowledge that would include: strains, cultivation, medical attributes of different strains and products both personally and anecdotally, general industry knowledge and the science of medicinal marijuana.
The main responsibility of the sales consultant / budtender is to carry out the brand mission by providing excellent customer service and education to our patients. Other responsibilities may include cleaning, packaging, answering phones, auditing, and any other tasks that may be assigned by a manager/supervisor.
This is a full-time position with an hourly rate of $16.00 per hour. Candidates must have open availability. After 60 days medical and dental insurance are available.

Job Title: Sales Consultant

Job Summary: The Sales Consultant provides exemplary customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty to the Ajoya brand. Through respectful guidance and education, the Sales Consultant assists customers in selecting the right cannabis strain and product to meet their needs. The Sales Consultant completes transactions, maintains inventory, and enters all data according to established protocols. By asking questions, developing rapport, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of available products, the Sales Consultant represents and upholds the Ajoya standard of exceptional customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greets and establishes rapport with customers
- Educates and assists customers to identify the best products and methods to meet their needs
- Processes sales and maintains inventory control
- Processes customer documentation and information according to set procedures
- Receives and responds to internal communication; stays up to date on daily/weekly offers and specials
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date knowledge of products and compliance regulations, operates the store within all compliance regulations provided by the Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED)
- Maintains a professional, clean and safe working environment
Required and/or Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in retail sales, dispensary-related experience a plus
- Must have open availability.
- Must obtain required state licensure.
- Prior interaction within the cannabis community and/or health and wellness industries preferred
