Job Description

Ware Insurance, an independent agency in Virginia Beach, is currently interviewing for a full-time experienced Select Business Commercial Lines Account Manager. The candidate should have at least three years of Commercial Insurance experience and possess a Property and Casualty license. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and EPIC Applied Systems Agency Management System is a plus. Ware Insurance offers a competitive salary, benefits, and a friendly working atmosphere. Required operations of the Commercial Lines Account Manager are described, but not limited to, the items below:

Assist clients promptly, accurately, and courteously.
Maintain data records within EPIC Applied System
Maintain accounts receivable for agency billed policies only.
Maintain control of renewals and remarket renewal business as needed.
Notify and discuss renewals with clients starting 120 days prior to expiration date.
Review quotes and prepare proposals.
Maintain professional relationship with company personnel.
Take claim reports from clients and assist client if needed.
Maintain a follow-up system for all pending activities and processes daily.
Keep up to date on new markets, rate changes, carrier appetites, and policy changes.
Provide back up to co-workers when they are out of the office.
Attend insurance company seminars, complete continuing education courses and pursue designations.
Able to work independently without instruction from a producer.
