The Comfort Suites Downtown Orlando is hiring a Director of Sales!
Responsibilities and Duties
The Director of Sales is a key executive responsible for leading the sales efforts of a hotel to drive revenue growth and achieve business objectives. Their primary job is to develop and execute strategic sales plans to attract guests and maximize revenue across all revenue-generating departments of the hotel.
Developing Sales strategies: Create and implement effective sales strategies to maximize revenue and occupancy rates for the hotel
Generating Leads: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by actively seeking out potential clients and generating leads through various channels such as cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to foster repeat business and referrals.
Sales Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive activities, and opportunities for growth.
Sales Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop sales forecasts and budgets, monitor performance against targets, and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure revenue goals are met.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments such as revenue management, and operations to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall hotel objectives.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring terms are favorable and in line with hotel policies and standards.
Sales Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
Qualifications
Strong leadership skills to effectively lead and motivate.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present ideas and negotiate with clients.
Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, including market trends, competitor analysis, and sales techniques.
A customer-centric approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and exceeding customer expectations.
Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, brand platforms, and other sales or lead generation programs required.
