Job Description

Position Summary: The Commercial Lines Account Managerprovides prompt, accurate and courteous service to our clients, producers and company personnel, while offering a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing our commercial accounts.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Essential Tasks:

  • Prepare endorsement requests to send to insurance carriers
  • Follow-up on receipt of endorsements to existing policies
  • Processing endorsements, including invoicing and delivery to client
  • Processing of audits, including verification of rates, exposures, and prior premiums
  • Create applications as required
  • Handling/processing of cancellations and billing issues
  • Review MSAs for the insurance coverage
  • Review policy discrepancies
  • Communication with staff and clients as needed to gather needed information for changes to policies
  • Knowledge of and adherence to, agency procedures
  • Provide technical support to Marketing Executives and Producers as needed
  • Establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external clients

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong organization and time management skills, with attention to detail
  • Computer skills including agency management system and Windows Office products
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude
  • Respectful work style towards both internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly motivated, self-starter who works independently to accomplish established agency goals
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Accountable for actions and delivers on commitments
  • Commitment to continuous learning

Experience and Education:

  • 5 years of Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance experience required

Licensing and Credentials:

  • Active General Lines or Property & Casualty License required
  • CISR designation or equivalent stronglypreferred

Systems:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Applied TAM experience is stronglypreferred
  • Applied Epic experience preferred, but knowledge of similar Account Management System (AMS) is acceptable

Location:

  • Lafayette, LA
  • Hybrid opportunities for qualified candidates

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Repeated use of sight to read documents and computer screens
  • Repeated use of hearing and speech to communicate on telephone and in person
  • Repetitive hand movements, such as keyboarding, writing, 10-key
  • Walking, bending, sitting, reaching and stretching in all directions
