The Role at a Glance – Land Rover Hinsdale General Sales Manager
Jaguar Land Rover Hinsdale is seeking an accomplished General Sales Manager for its busy sales department. In this role, you will lead our sales team to market dominance, maximum profitability, and sustainable growth.
You will select, train, and coach our Sales Advisors to produce high sales volume and deliver great customer service.
The ideal candidate is a driven, innovative, approachable, and team-oriented leader with exceptional skills in Internet lead management and follow-up.
What you'll be doing
- Responsible for the overall success and profitability of the New, Used, and Finance departments.
- Hire, train, motivate, and manage all Sales Advisors.
- Negotiate, close, and desk deals, manage advertising and marketing, and acquire and manage new and used inventory.
- Work within, and enforce, company and dealership policies and pertinent laws, and team with the other Department Managers to ensure effective dealership operations.

Requirements:What we’re looking for:
Must-haves:
- Minimum three years of luxury sales management experience in a new vehicle dealership.
- Prior track record of growing sales and profits in a successful luxury store.
- Must be a competent and strong closer.
- Ability to manage a deal for gross and volume.
- Ability to coach, mentor, and lead a team of Sales Advisors of varying levels of experience.
- Must have strong knowledge of CDK Desking, vAuto, CRM systems, and other automotive software.
- Self-driven and motivated to achieve results.
- Process-driven.
- Tech-savvy.
- Comprehensive understanding of laws and policies for compliance.
- Must exhibit strong customer service skills including the ability to communicate clearly, express empathy, and demonstrate active listening skills.
- Professional personal appearance.
- Must be efficient, organized, and detail-oriented.
