JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Legal Assistant/Account Manager
DEPARTMENT: Revenue Cycle
LOCATION: Huntersville, NC
REPORTS TO: VP of Revenue Cycle Management
Position Summary/Objective: This position is the direct contact for all post-funding functions for their accounts/law firms.
Responsibilities:
- Communicating and negotiating with attorneys and paralegals
- Professionally obtaining information while managing relationships
- Possess or develop an understanding of personal injury litigation
- Build and maintain a portfolio of firms and exercise creative problem solving
- Manage a book of assets based on accounts/law firms and serve as the primary post funding firm manager
- Obtain quarterly updates from law firm partners
- Negotiate account balance deductions at the conclusion of cases
- Verify account data is accurate
- Identify and execute on opportunities for new business
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Identify opportunities to drive new and recurring business
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to calculate, explain and justify reductions in the context of the broader settlement
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to identify problems and propose solutions
- Ability to independently handle difficult conversations and identify when escalation is needed
- Ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment, take ownership of tasks, and complete objectives promptly
Position Type/Expected Hoursof Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m.
Preferred Credentials:
- Associate's Degree or higher preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in a professional office environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
