Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure the sales team is on board.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to achieve individual and group sales targets.
- Conduct regular sales training and workshops to improve team skills and product knowledge.
- Evaluate team performance and provide feedback and coaching.
Client Relationship Management:
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
- Conduct regular client visits and participate in industry trade shows and conferences.
Sales Operations:
- Oversee the daily operations of the sales department, including order processing and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with the logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Monitor and analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities and challenges.
Budget Management:
- Prepare and control the sales department budget.
- Analyze costs and sales to evaluate performance against budget.
- Identify and approach new potential strategic partners.
Marketing Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective campaigns and strategies.
- Provide feedback from clients to assess possible refinements to existing products and the need for new products.
Reporting:
- Prepare detailed reports on sales results, forecasts, and market conditions.
- Present sales, revenue, and expense reports and realistic forecasts to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a relevant field.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the building materials industry.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics in the construction sector.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
- Ability to lead a sales team in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
