Job Description
The Sales Manager, Print Production is responsible for managing a team of Production Sales Specialists focused on selling production grade equipment. This position supports the team to achieve revenue targets, profitability and unit targets, provide account management services and assist Sales Specialists with their efforts of promoting sales, increasing market share by introducing company products as business solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Coach, mentor and assist in the training and development of Sales Specialists to support them in achieving their business and personal growth objectives;
- Managing a team of Production Sales Specialists to achieve monthly and annual specialist quotas, complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies;
- Participate in trade shows, technology showcases and product demonstrations, promoting the company image and products;
- People Management activities, including but not limited to: hiring, coaching, performance management, development, corrective action and termination;
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary Education in a business related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of successful business-to-business selling experience within the office product industry
- Minimum of 2 years Sales management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Superior knowledge of sales techniques including cold-calling, networking, lead generation, all with the ability to capture and close the deal
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong public presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Strong selling skills, with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities to work within a professional, team-oriented environment
- Superior business acumen, customer focus and a demonstrated balanced approach to decision making (company, client & employee interests)
- Strategic thinker, outline a course of action, and analyze potential outcomes and anticipate pitfalls
- Self starter, action oriented, effective use of consulting skills
