Primary purpose: The Installed Sales Manager is responsible for profitably and safely overseeing all aspects of the installed sales department, including staffing, organization, direction, and control.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safety Promotion: Promote and uphold a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Employee Training and Development: Train and develop employees, delegate tasks effectively, and follow through to ensure successful project completion.
  • Materials Procurement: Purchase materials required for installed sales projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely acquisition.
  • Order Review and Quality Control: Review orders for accuracy and quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards.
  • Invoice Verification: Check and sign all invoices to ensure accuracy and proper billing.
  • Customer and Vendor Relationship Management: Establish, build, and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors to facilitate smooth project execution and procurement processes.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Set an example of excellent customer service, ensuring customer needs are met and exceeded.
  • Budget Development and Management: Develop and maintain budgets for installed sales projects, monitoring expenses and ensuring profitability.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels and gross profit percentage, optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing carrying costs.
  • Purchasing and Pricing Strategies: Develop and implement purchasing and pricing formulas to maximize profitability and competitiveness.
  • Logistics Management: Manage the movement of goods into and out of production facilities, ensuring efficient logistics operations.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain vehicles and production facilities to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Price Maintenance: Maintain prices in the computer system and update yearly budgets as necessary.
  • Inventory Planning and Execution: Plan, prepare, and execute inventory activities to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the installed sales department.
Requirements:

Required:

  • Installed Sales Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in installed sales, demonstrating proficiency in project management and execution.
  • Decision-Making Skills: Good judgment and decision-making skills to navigate complex project requirements and challenges.
  • Professional Demeanor: Professional demeanor to represent the company positively in all interactions with customers, vendors, and employees.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Able to solve problems with minimal supervision, demonstrating resourcefulness and creativity in finding solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Approachable, a good listener, an effective communicator, able to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and understand blueprints to interpret project specifications accurately.
  • Adaptability: Able to adjust planned daily schedules to accommodate unplanned urgencies and changing project requirements.
  • Strategic Thinking: Think critically, plan strategically, and envision long-term goals and objectives for the installed sales department.
  • Goal Achievement: Effective at setting and achieving goals, with a track record of success in project management.
  • Pressure Management: Thrive under pressure and effectively manage multiple tasks with finesse and composure.
  • Leadership and Time Management: Strong leadership and time management skills to lead teams effectively and ensure efficient project execution.
  • Safety Focus: Prioritize safety in all aspects of installed sales operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Lean Understanding: Understand Lean manufacturing and processes to optimize efficiency and minimize waste in operations.

Strongly Preferred:

  • Construction Knowledge: General knowledge of construction practices and materials to better understand project requirements and challenges.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent qualification, demonstrating basic educational competency.
  • Supervisory Experience: Experience in supervisor, management, or sales roles, demonstrating leadership and team management skills.
