Job Title: Senior Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Generate and present financial reports on a regular basis, including analyses on labor, COGS, and operating expenses.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting in compliance with accounting principles.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support cross- functional initiatives.
- Manage account reconciliations, audits, and tax filings.
- Assist in preparing federal and state income tax returns.
- Oversee accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, and employee expense reports.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, with at least 1 year in an accounting supervisory role.
- Strong financial acumen with expertise in financial report writing, double entry bookkeeping, and account analysis.
- Proficient in financial software systems and advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and payroll processing.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Salary
$65,000 - $80,000 per year
