JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Sales and Business Strategy to oversee the development, implementation, and management of our reporting infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, reporting tools, and project management. They will lead a team of Sales Execution Coordinators, Operations Execution Coordinators, Reporting Coordinators and Data Analysts, responsible for generating actionable insights and delivering accurate, timely, and insightful reports within the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

TEAM LEADERSHIP
  • Conduct routine meetings with Sales Execution Coordinators, Operations Execution Coordinators and Reporting Coordinators to provide essential communication and direction.
  • Conduct routine meetings with the Analyst Team to strategically and efficiently utilize Circana/IRI/Neilsen data, driving sales success and sales strategies.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Direct the effective implementation, integration, and execution of Heidelberg Distributing Company’s Key Initiatives, Strategy, and Core Values.
SALES / BUSINESS OPERATIONS DATA ANALYSIS
  • Strong analytical / statistical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Oversee process improvements, including new strategic implementations, conversions, and procedural or data management changes.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, implement data reconciliation processes, and manage resources effectively.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Gather reporting requirements and design, develop, and optimize reports and dashboards to meet business needs.
GENERAL
  • Must maintain a valid Driver’s License at all times, with insurance coverage acceptable to the Company’s provider, in its sole discretion. Must abide by all traffic and motor vehicle laws and regulations.
  • Must be highly proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, VIP, I-Dig, Salient/Margin Minder, Microsoft Teams and related reporting software utilized by the Company.
  • Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written; ability to speak at both Executive and Corporate meetings; must be able to read and speak English.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum two years in a successful management and/or leadership position
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Sales Execution Coordinator, Field Sales Coordinator, or GSM, in reporting services, data analysis, or a related field.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, VIP Reporting Tools, Microsoft Teams, and Circana/IRI/Neilsen.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work flexible hours through the week, including some weekends and holidays.
  • This position operates in a professional office environment but requires regular travel and on-site work in a customer retail environment.
  • Regular, consistent attendance is required.
  • The dress code is business casual; closed-toe shoes are suggested. Other restrictions may apply.
While performing the duties of this job, employee is required to stand; balance; walk; climb stairs, sit; use hands to feel and handle objects, tools, or controls, including standard office equipment such as computers and phones; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; and have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
