Mission

Genesys Works is a nonprofit organization that provides pathways to career success for high school students in historically under resourced communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships. We do this through a unique combination of intense summer training and a meaningful paid internship at leading corporations during senior year of high school. While the core of the Genesys Works program is the internship, we realize this is only the start of a young person’s professional and academic career.

Purpose of Position

Genesys Works seeks a Corporate Partner Specialist to support in the administrative, operational, and growth efforts to meet annual internship goals. This role will report to the Corporate Partnerships team, responsible for the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of our corporate partners. A CP specialist will work in a highly collaborative and cross-functional team environment across the organization while gaining exposure to the GW consultative approach to sales in the social impact sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Management Support (60%)
  • Provide support on the account renewal process and pipeline management (e.g., opportunity records, creating MSA /SOW’s, partnership history reports)
  • Support sales operations tasks, including storing contracts, updating onboarding logistics, creating position records, business unit creation, and delivery of certifications of insurance
  • Track and update information regarding clients, opportunities, contracts, and positions in CRM system (Salesforce) for data management
  • Own and manage corporate-partner-related operations tasks as needed to ensure all clients make timely payments for services rendered, including but not limited to AR, 3rd party systems, etc.
  • Prospecting and Growth Support (20%)
  • Support the development of prospect lists, relationship mapping, pitch decks, and prospecting language drafts
  • Data analysis and synthesis of markets, industries, and individual companies by performing research when assigned
  • Lead logistics of corporate partner stewardship and engagement tactics (e.g., milestone / holiday gifts, info session catering and deck prep, supervisor engagement)
  • Support operational processes of pilots and efforts to increase Post-Secondary efforts including GW alumni + Accelerator internships
  • Ride-along's with CP Managers to learn GW sales processes and develop core selling skills whilst building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Cross-functional collaboration (20%)
  • Collaborate with Program Team to ensure successful intern placements for all internships by providing details and insight on partner companies culture, positions, responsibilities, and other info as needed (e.g., supervisor kick-offs, intern first day, escalation issues)
  • Support Marketing and Communications in creating and implement innovative strategies for growth (e.g., campaigns, newsletters, LinkedIn posts, materials, photography)
  • Provide collaborative support to Events and Volunteering efforts as they relate to corporate partnerships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, 1-3 years of account management experience
  • Experience and high proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to influence and engage a wide range of internal and external clients to build long-term relationships
  • Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail with a flexible work schedule, including some evenings
  • Skilled in: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), and other tools (e.g., Canva, Zoom, Microsoft Teams)
  • Strong passion for social impact and commitment to equity and inclusion with a proven ability to work with diverse populations

Physical Requirements

Including, but not limited to standing and sitting for long periods of time; speaking loudly and clearly; reaching, stooping, and kneeling; and fine-finger and hand manipulation in the use of a computer, dry-erase board, or projector. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading. Most work environments are climate-controlled, open space floor plans.
