Job Overview
The Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of custom industrial automation control panel projects. This role requires a meticulous individual with a deep understanding of project management principles, strong technical acumen, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively. The Account Manager will collaborate closely with engineers, designers, technicians, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements, in collaboration with production and procurement teams. Analyze project specifications, technical requirements, and customer expectations to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to proactively address potential project roadblocks. Regularly monitor project progress and resolve any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication channels with internal teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the project. Provide regular project status updates, address inquiries, and manage expectations regarding deliverables and timelines.
  • Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cost estimates, ensuring adherence to financial constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project resources without compromising on quality.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, assessing the impact and obtaining necessary approvals. Facilitate effective change management processes with relevant stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, progress reports, technical specifications, and client communications. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional customer service. Address client concerns promptly and ensure their satisfaction with project outcomes.
  • Post-Project Evaluation: Conduct post-project evaluations, analyzing successes and areas for improvement. Utilize lessons learned to enhance future project management practices and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in project management, preferably in industrial automation or control panel manufacturing.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of industrial automation systems and control panel technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
