As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to join our team.

Position Overview: We are looking for an accomplished Director of Business Development who will be responsible for driving revenue growth within the medical device contract manufacturing sector. The Director of Business Development will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, cultivating relationships with key clients, and expanding our market presence. Director will report directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
  • Identify candidates to be potential clients in the various sectors that require the comprehensive services of our manufacturing plant.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and cold calling.
  • Establish relationship with potential inventors, startups, universities, research centers, incubators, and investment funds.
  • Deliver proposals to clients according to previously identified needs in collaboration with the BMC Medical team and effectively negotiate the different services to close the sale.
  • Customer monitoring tasks to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement, thus promoting customer loyalty.
  • Maintain optimal communication with BMC Medical functional areas to provide continuous feedback on customer services.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborate in marketing tasks by actively participating in the development of digital materials, events, conferences, and tradeshows to increase the visibility of BMC Medical and its benefits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the medical device manufacturing industry.
  • 10+ years of experience in contract manufacturing sales (required)
  • Strong understanding of medical device manufacturing processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Salary and benefits:

  • Yearly base salary of $60,000-$80,000 depending on experience.
  • Uncapped commission structure with possibilities of making $250,000+
  • Quarterly and/or Yearly Bonus
  • 1099 Employee.
