POSITION: Territory Sales Manager (Edmonton Area Based)
The Grizzly Paw Pub and Brewing Company is a Craft Brewery and Brew Pub located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our sales team.
Grizzly Paw’s Mission: To share the Canmore hospitality experience through constant innovation and the passionate pursuit of quality.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Territory Sales Manager Edmonton area will develop and maintain strong sales relationships with key accounts for our craft brewed beer and soda. The successful candidate will drive brand-building initiatives through the execution of regional and locally developed programming.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the sales territory from Edmonton and surrounding area including Fort Saskatchewan, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Leduc, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Camrose etc.
- Work in step with other sales managers and the sales director to grow revenue and same store sales through cold calls and follow-up meetings.
- Develop and maintain effective customer relations with both on and off premise accounts while promoting the good will of the company and brand.
- Establish our brand position in new markets and venues, on shelves and in coolers in retail settings, and on tap in on-premise settings.
- Maintain a regular schedule and up to date calendar of in-person weekly appointments with accounts in their assigned territory.
- Provide weekly updates and maintain records of route plans for all accounts using our CRM.
- Provide monthly sales reports and customer activity summaries.
- Travel within their assigned territory and to monthly meetings in-person in Canmore as required.
- Responsible for understanding the local business dynamics and leading all consumer-focused retail programs in their accounts, ultimately delivering increased growth.
- Ensure accounts are adequately and properly merchandised with the most current POS materials.
- Development and implementation of innovative promotional tools and sales events.
- Support marketing initiatives and actively participate in all social media strategies.
- Conduct on site samplings, training & merchandise support for retailers and licensees of beer/soda
- Plan and execute regular trade shows, farmers markets and special events throughout the province.
- Abide by all rules and regulations as set out by Alberta Liquor Gaming Cannabis.
- Develop and maintain close and effective working relationships with all supporting departments.
- Consider the environmental impact of all decisions.
- This position will work weekends as required along with holidays with a schedule that will be driven around customer/consumer needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- 2-3 years experience in beverage sales and a strong understanding of the hospitality industry.
- Previous experience managing restaurants and bars an asset.
- Extensive knowledge of the craft beer industry and a passion for all things beer.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations of the alcohol industry.
- Innovative, creative, and willing to take risks.
- Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Exceptional business acumen and adherence to Grizzly Paw’s code of conduct.
- A strong entrepreneurial mentality to achieve results.
- Hold a valid drivers license with a clean record.
- Pro-Serve certification is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
