Hours: 40+ per Week

Base Salary Range: $52,000-70,000

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic Strategic Sales Manager to join our team as a part-time contractor. This role is perfect for a sales leader experienced in closing deals and developing sales strategies for B2B clients in industries where effective digital marketing is crucial. You will own the sales process end-to-end, from strategy development to deal closure, including pitch deck creation. This position demands a proactive, results-driven individual with a strong understanding of the needs and growth challenges in the home building, IT, manufacturing, and landscaping sectors.

In this role, you will apply your expertise in selling digital marketing and website development solutions to address the unique needs of clients in these industries, particularly those who lack robust internal marketing resources. Your main focus will be on identifying key client pain points, communicating the value of our services, and driving revenue through effective lead conversion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy tailored to each industry segment we serve. Continuously refine the sales process for improved efficiency and conversion rates.
  • Direct Sales: Serve as the primary closer for high-impact deals, adeptly positioning our digital marketing and website development services to address specific client challenges and demonstrate ROI.
  • Pitch Deck and Materials Development: Create compelling, visually engaging pitch decks and sales materials that align with strategic objectives.
  • Reporting & Goal Setting: Define and implement standards for tracking and reporting sales metrics. Regularly analyze data to optimize strategies and provide actionable insights for continued growth.
  • Industry-Specific Sales Approach: Apply knowledge of industry-specific sales techniques and digital marketing solutions (SEO, content marketing, lead generation) to create value-driven conversations with potential clients.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

The ideal candidate is a seasoned B2B sales professional with a successful track record of selling digital marketing and website development services to sectors like home building, IT, manufacturing, and landscaping. You’re a strategic thinker who thrives in a hands-on role, with the ability to balance deal-making and team leadership effectively.

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Experience: 6+ years in B2B sales, with a proven history of closing deals and driving revenue growth, ideally selling digital marketing services to industries such as IT, home building, manufacturing, and landscaping.
  • Sales Leadership: Strong leadership abilities, with experience building sales processes from scratch and setting measurable goals.
  • Client-Centric Sales Approach: Skilled in consultative selling, with the ability to understand client needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in sales analytics, with a focus on setting and achieving reporting standards and optimizing strategies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the unique challenges and goals within the home building, IT (particularly MSPs), manufacturing, and landscaping industries.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach to client and team relationships.

Bonus Skills:

  • Established network in the Cincinnati area, especially in IT, manufacturing, or home-building-related sectors.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking tools, including HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with inbound marketing and lead generation principles.
  • Reporting and financial analysis experience.
