Position Summary:
The Revenue Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing revenue streams and ensuring the financial success for the organization. Working in collaboration with Sales, Finance, Marketing, System Business, Category Management and Procurement, this position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proven track record in revenue management

Key Responsibilities:Revenue Optimization:
  • Advise Category Management on ways to analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Acts as a revenue and margin consultant with Sales Leadership.
  • Advise Category Management in their development and implementation of pricing strategies to maximize revenue across different products and services.
  • Aid Category Management with tools and process to monitor and adjust pricing based on demand, seasonality, pricing audits and market dynamics.
  • Ensure effective use of all proactive pricing/costing tools.
  • Host regular Revenue Strategy meetings; communicate results, and offer analysis and corrective action.
  • Provide input on ensuring an effective Commission Plan.
Forecasting and Budgeting:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate revenue and margin Budgets and Forecasts.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to project future revenue performance and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Data Analysis:
  • Utilize data analysis tools to extract actionable insights and trends related to revenue performance.
  • Reviews volumes, sales & margins daily, identifies errors/anomalies and ensures corrections are made
  • Provides analysis of revenue potential by geographical area & product categories.
  • Reviews fuel surcharge & makes recommendations to achieve targets.
  • Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate revenue strategies.
Pricing Team Management:
  • Manage the Price team to ensure pricing processes are efficient and timely
Contract Negotiation:
  • Advise contract managers on opportunities within the contract with clients, partners, and vendors to ensure favourable terms and conditions for revenue generation.
  • Review and analyze contractual agreements to identify revenue implications and compliance.
Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Category Management, and Finance teams to align revenue strategies with overall business objectives.
Reporting:
  • Generate regular reports on review performance, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Create with IT and Sales reporting on strategic areas that drive and/or maintain margins – e.g. Cost Triangle
  • Present findings and recommendations to Senior Leaders to support strategic decision-making.
Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable industry regulations and internal company policies related to revenue recognition.
  • Stay abreast of changes in regulations and industry best practices in Margin Management
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years work and leadership experience in Business, Finance, Marketing or Sales.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Sales, or Hospitality.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerBI.
  • Experience using data manipulation tools, general ledger systems, relational database and Data Visualization experience considered an asset.
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience in revenue management, pricing strategies, sales, and financial analysis an asset.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor landscape.
  • Expertise on the design and use of data and pricing/cost analytic tools.
  • Able to coach others and/or provide insights to support problem solving, as well as provide forward thinking best practices and recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Strategic thinking, self-starter who is innovative, detail oriented while having strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly adaptable to changing business requirements.
