Position Summary
Credit Specialists are primarily responsible for collecting past due payments from our customers. The Credit Specialist must enforce collection policies using diplomacy and tact.
Responsibilities (include, but not limited to the following)
- Generate and review aging reports for assigned branches
- Initiate collection calls on customers who have 40+ days past due invoices
- Maintain notes in GETPAID detailing collection calls
- Communicate disputed invoices with branch personal and expedite resolution to customer Ø Process credit card payments
- Send payment research requests to AR-Team@redicarpet.com
- Send refund requests packets to refundrequests@redicarpet.com
- Return customer requested lien waivers within 24 hours of receipt
- Approve credit releases from the hold que in 15 min intervals. If not approved, send notification to General Manager, Account Manager and Customer Service of reason why.
- Place accounts on Corporate Credit Hold (CCH) and send proper notification to appropriate personnel Ø Forward documentation to Corporate Credit Manager or Director of Credit for approval on all demand letters, lien filings and legal accounts
- Maintain discretion with confidential information Important Goals and Deadlines
- Over 60 day receivables at or less than 15% of total aged balance
- Begin collection calls for any account when payment status reaches “40 days-slow”
- Immediately forward bankruptcy notifications to Corporate Credit Manager or Director of Credit
- Establish open lines of communication with assigned branch's General Manager and Account Managers
