OPPORTUNITY
AlpHa Measurement Solutions is experiencing aggressive growth through a global platform consolidation and recognizes a need to strengthen its Sales & Marketing capabilities to meet increased demand and support continued growth. We have an immediate need for a Customer Service Representative to join our Houston-based team.
Our global headquarters is conveniently located in Houston at the southwest intersection of I-69 and Sam Houston Tollway, just north of Sugar Land.
This individual will report to the Sales Operations Manager.
Classification: Salaried/Exempt, Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and as required to maintain business momentum.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The Customer Service Representative at AlpHa Measurement Solutions will identify, manage, and cultivate new leads through cold calling, web and tradeshow leads, will oversee and coordinate daily communications with assigned customer base by phone and email, receive, acknowledge and enter customer purchase orders, receive and communicate order status, price requests, expedites and other requests from customer. Follow internal communication protocols with supply chain, sales and other departments as needed. Assist Sales Managers with CRM information and reporting, ensure CRM data accuracy for forecasting and document customer communications in CRM system.
Essential Functions

- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls and emails
- Utilize Power BI, CRM, and ERP system to manage and document steps throughout the sales process
- Communication with global customers: answer questions regarding technical applications, new or existing purchase orders, quotations, and price negotiations.
- Receive, acknowledge, and manage purchase order(s) while following internal communication protocols to alert departments of new orders
- Leverage EDI system to process, accept, and reject purchase orders
- Receive requests and collaborate with other departments for expediting shipments, product returns, technical support and packing list/invoice questions, etc.
- Document customer communications in CRM system
- Assist sales managers with CRM and ERP information and reporting.
- Ensure CRM and ERP data accuracy for forecasting
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies

Requirements:Required Qualifications and Experience
At least three years in B2B customer service or inside sales roles (experience in process instrumentation or laboratory industry is a plus)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong listening and presentation skills
Highly proficient in MS 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.)
Experience with ERP systems and practices (order entry, order status tracking, etc)
Experience with CRM systems and practices (customer setup, sales process, reporting)
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
Must speak English
Must be authorized to work in the United States
