Job Description

Hardwood Giant is looking for an experienced sales professional for our retail sales team. Our superior flooring products and sales service support have made us one the most recognized and respected in the Hardwood Flooring Industry. As a Sales Consultant, your primary role is to drive sales by providing exceptional customer support to our valuable customers for their flooring projects, from inception to completion. Your focus is to ensure our customers have the right products and excellent services, identify new markets and customer leads, and pitch to prospective customers.


Job Duties -

  • Educate and promote customers about Hardwood Giant Products and Services.
  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers.
  • Converting sales leads to complete the sales transaction.
  • Achieve individual sales targets to support overall department and organizational goals.
  • Inform existing and potential customers about special offers.
  • Resolves customer complaints promptly and professionally by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Manage and post on social media platforms to generate leads and interest in customers. Be able to use and navigate the Facebook marketplace, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Tik Tok and any other social media platform promoting sales.
  • Develop new business relationships by following up with regular proactive contact.
  • Devote time in understanding competitor market trends and product price variance and provide analysis reports to management for any changes as recommended.
  • Provide accurate, valid, and complete information to the customers by using the right methods/tools.
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts, and file documents
  • Ensuring the installation team successfully executes each project's requirements.
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication.
  • Clean and organize the store. Lift heavy boxes to ensure proper organization of the store.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual analyses.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by the Sales Store Manager.
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
  • Communicating with customers through various channels phone, email, chat, and social media.
  • Maintain customer relationships and prospects for future clients through follow-ups.
  • Overall have the drive to grow within the sales field through excellent customer service and have the passion to learn and earn.

Experience required.

  • One to two years' experience working in a sales-driven environment (required).
  • Previous sales experience within the flooring industry (preferred).
  • A willingness to grow as a flooring sales consultant with a fast-expanding company.
  • The ability to genuinely listen to customers and personalize the response to their needs.
  • Good negotiation and sales skills that will help close the sale.
  • The curiosity to understand how things work with the intention of improving service.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different people and environments.
  • A knack for problem-solving with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, writing, and documentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems or equivalent. (Preferred)
  • Required to work a schedule as determined by sales, customer, and business needs.
  • Open availability to work on the weekends.
  • Flexibility to travel.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business casual office attire.
  • Work is performed inside a temperature-controlled store.
  • Sit, stand, bend, lift occasionally lifting.
  • Ability to listen and speak with employees and customers in person and by phone.
  • Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • View and type on computer screens for invoicing and email communications.
  • Ability to Drive to and from work locations or if scheduled to other locations.
