Eaton’s Electrical Sector - Canada is seeking an Area Sales Manager to join the team at our Delta, BC facility.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $88,934.94 - $130,437.91 annually. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program and use of a company vehicle. What will you do?
The Area Sales Manager directs all sales activities in their territory to achieve performance goals in accordance with marketing and sales plans. This position provides coaching, direction, and training for sales professionals in their respective assignments; helping them succeed in managing and developing their customer base; leveraging internal and external sales resources; driving products through channel to achieve market share gains; supporting price attainment goals; and implementing strategic initiatives throughout the territory.
Sales Planning – Achieve sales budget by developing sales plans and supporting agents at target customers and advancing project opportunities. Executes plans to increase demand through specification with end users, channel, contractors and aligned consultants. Analyzes sales levels and trends through market research and initiates pro-active or corrective actions as required to ensure attainment of objectives. Leverage digital solutions to support industry trends including electrification.
Collaboration – Works closely with and coordinates activities with all departments within Eaton to ensure that company-wide goals are achieved. Partner with the Channel team, drive and promote programs & initiatives that optimize our access to market through authorized distributors. Develop organizational capabilities of sales team.
Drive Customer Relationships – Establish new relationships and strengthen existing relationships with customers and channel to enhance sales volume and exceed customer expectations. Plan, direct and manage sales resources to ensure adequate coverage to satisfy customer requirements. May act as liaison with established key accounts.
Territory Management – Maintain and advance a pipeline of open projects for the assigned district - Analyze, support, and continuously improve the territory’s channels to market. Demonstrate rigor in following up on critical sales and project schedules. Lead and coordinate resources to resolve quality issues or delivery of scheduled commits, as required. Drive new product sales.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology
- Five (5) years of sales experience within the electrical industry
- Two years of experience as a manager or leader of people
- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
- No relocation benefit is available for this position; must currently reside within an 80km radius of Delta, BC
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical CET or P.Eng. designation
- Five years of technical sales leadership experience in the electrical industry
