Title: Regional Sales Manager

Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) under Innomics Inc. will directly manage Innomics’ genomics & proteomics service business with academic and industry accounts in designated sales territory of the United States. The candidate will be responsible for growing territory revenue, managing and developing customer relationship in the sales territory.

Major Responsibilities:

· Manage existing and develop new accounts for Innomics’s genomics service business in designated territory. Effectively represent Innomics’s genomics sequencing and proteomics service portfolios to research customers in academic, industry and government accounts. Be directly responsible for achieving designated territory revenue targets.

· Implement a consultative selling approach to understand customer’s project needs. Work with technical support team and other internal resources to perform project evaluation, develop and communicate project proposals with customers, negotiate and close sales contracts. Effectively communicate Innomics’s technology and product strength to customers. Develop tailored and competitive project solutions that meets customer’s project goals and expectation.

· Assume overall accountability for establishing and implementing an effective sales plan, meeting regional sales goals with budgeted resources and developing key account sales strategies. Perform territory business analysis and report results to the Director of Sales on a regular basis.

· Champion mass-spec analysis services as new product solutions to Innomics’s existing and growing customer base. Proactively develop and manage key customers or collaborators to further solidify Innomics’s multi-omics analysis business in the US.

· Serve as Innomics’s primary interface to customers and collaborators in territory. Keep customers updated of Innomics’s product solution, technology development, research advancements and other corporate developments. Maintain and nurture valuable business relationships. Managing relationship with key opinion leaders to effectively influence existing and new customers with emerging technology and products.

· Effectively coordinate with Project Managers to ensure smooth execution of projects and proper communication of project status to clients. Work with technical support team to perform trouble shooting and address customer’s inquiries to project deliverables.

· Attend and coordinate national and regional conferences, trade shows, online events and corporate meetings as scheduled.

· Understand and maintain current knowledge of the company's products and services. Keep informed on technological developments, market competition, policies and regulation, etc., in the genomics space. Utilize resources and perform research to determine sales patterns and strategies for different market sectors.

· Understand Innomics’s value proposition in broader scope and being able to communicate Innomics’s vision beyond research services.

Job Requirements:

· Minimum BS in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics or equivalent science degree.

· Minimum 3 years of account management and/or customer facing experience in biotech industry.

· Proficiency in selling next generation sequencing, proteomics, metabolomics, and/or other genomic services to academic, industry and government accounts.

· Strong understanding of the market and customer needs within the genomics service industry.

· Willingness to travel 25% - 50% of time.

· Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is $100,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonuses and benefits.
