Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Engineer to join our team. As part of the D-Link North American team, the Field Sales Engineer's primary responsibilities includes being a technical reference to move sales opportunity status from S0 (Suspect) & S0 (Prospect) to S3 (Order) on D-Link’s Opportunity Tracking system “EV”. This job responsibility includes but is not limited to on-site and remote customer care, training, troubleshooting, and problem/solution management in Canadian and US Sites for both Consumer and Commercial Sales Channel. This is a dynamic role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Duties:
- Determine and communicate customer technical product requirements, to aid in the development of future firmware, software, documentation and products.
- Serve as a field technical sales and a resource to support sales, services, and business efforts throughout North America for sales activities, at trade shows, for training purposes, and at other industry events as deemed valuable.
- Aid the Sales team in closing all sales opportunities, discover service opportunities, and creative solutions in solving challenges.
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales support, both on-site and over the telephone, for field sales, resellers, and end-user customers.
- Develop technical documentation for resellers and end-users using D-Link networking products..
- Deliver technical training and presentations to large groups as well as corporate executives.
- Help provide sales engineering support to French and English customers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies

Requirements:
- Diploma in a Technical program. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
- Technical pre- and post-sales support of 2-5 years with a technology company related to Data Networking.
- Working experience with network diagrams, heat map analysis, and site surveys
- Knowledge of networking, security, IP surveillance, storage, routers, switching, and wireless
- Familiar with developing statements of work, designing acceptance criteria, and being a stake-holder in contract negotiations.
- Abstract, creative and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication in English & French
- Customer service orientation.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
