The Sales Development Representative qualifies leads and will reach out to potential customers, initiating conversations and identifying prospects who have genuine interest and potential to become qualified opportunities. Nurturing these leads, SDRs help streamline the sales process, optimize resource allocation, and drive revenue growth for the organization.
Job Duties:
- Prospecting: Actively research and identify potential leads and accounts through various channels, such as social media, databases and search engines/tools.
- Outreach: Initiate contact with leads through emails, phone calls, and social platforms to engage in meaningful conversations.
- Qualification: Assess the fit and potential of leads by gauging their needs, budget, timeline, and decision-making authority.
- Lead Nurturing: Build and maintain relationships with leads over time, providing relevant information and addressing their concerns.
- Data Management: Keep accurate records of all interactions and lead information in the CRM system.
- Collaboration: Coordinate closely with marketing to align messaging and strategies, and with sales to ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, product knowledge, and sales techniques to enhance effectiveness.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of previous experience in sales, relationship management, customer service or related roles
- Working knowledge and familiarity with CRM software, sales tools, and communication platforms to track interactions and manage lead data.
- Working competency in effective time management skills to balance outreach, follow-ups, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Advanced verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with leads, convey value propositions, and handle objections.
- Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly, establish trust, and develop relationships with potential clients.
