This role is responsible for following up with Inbound leads, as well as maintaining an Outbound book of business. This individual will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for our clientele following up on leads, communicating with commercial customers and more. We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our Truck Sales Department based out of our Brampton, Canada office.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prospect for new clients and grow existing customer sales to meet/ exceed truck sales objective.
- Achieve sales results by managing the local sales process (negotiate price, assist with obtaining financing, secure payment, title transfer), assisting walk-in customers with their used truck needs, and completing the vehicle check-out process.
- Prospect new customers from an existing territory as well as maintain contact with existing customers.
- Maintain customer service excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Successfully build a pipeline of potential clients through different means of prospecting (online campaigns, emails, phone, LinkedIn, etc.) as well as leveraging relationships to generate new truck sales,
- Ensure all leads are fully qualified and set up appointments for appropriate Outside Sales Representatives and follow-up on actions with sales and service.
- Screen inbound leads from sources such as website and landing page forms, and direct phone calls
- Monitor and manage inventory of used trucks and trailers.
- Marketing used trucks through online presence or through contacts
- Network with organizations, trade shows associations, local groups, etc. to actively involve in relevant events to build relationships, keep current with trends, and uncover opportunities that lead to sales prospects.
- Keep abreast of changes and updates to the trucking industry – new products, features, accessories, and benefits to the customers
- Work closely with the service department in order to acquaint customers with the service team
- Continuously monitor the market to ensure sales are made at the best price for the business.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma, preferably in Business or Marketing
- Three (3) years of heavy equipment or transportation equipment sales & leasing experience preferred
- Ability to make independent decisions, work well in a team environment, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required.
- Proven track record of sales ability will be very useful
- Must be able to understand the needs of our customers and capable of negotiating and booking of appointments
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Initiative-taking, results-oriented with a positive and outgoing personality
- Proficient with software and computers.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively and work under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Must be flexible and able to work on multiple quotes simultaneously.
