The Client Services Specialist (CSS) is integral to the care of our Clients and support to Regional Sales teams. The primary focus is to fulfill several essential tasks related to delivering service to our clients. In this role, you will serve as the direct link between the Company and the client, manage day-to-day affairs, and ensure client satisfaction. Interact with clients to provide all necessary information and process information in response to inquiries and concerns. CSS will be assigned to support our Solutions Sales Managers (SSM) and/or set of assigned clients in a high growth business providing sustainability and environmental solutions to Fortune 1000 and Regional clients.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with waste profiling, resolving client concerns, coordinating transportation, and scheduling.
- Learn regulatory compliance with waste industry regulations (RCRA, DOT, OSHA) to ensure you are positioned to provide sustainability/waste support.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide support to achieving sales budgets including sales proposals for clients, outlining services, pricing, and project timelines, scheduling, answering client inquiries and problem resolution.
- Communicate across operations, billing team, sales etc. to ensure client retention building a positive working relationship among stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.
- The role requires administrative and sales support working with internal systems such as CRM and billing systems.
- Manage day-today sales and client activities including Waste Profiling tracking to approval, ensure proper pricing and communicate approvals to clients.
- Serve as a contact for clients to address inquiries and problem resolution.
- Issue and review approval package with client to ensure they fully understand shipping requirements, terms & conditions (T&Cs), etc.
- Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and/or exchange client information.
- Ensure data in CRM is entered correctly, send out reports, dashboards and KPI's to Regional leadership.
- Establish a complete understanding of VLS capabilities, services, and processes to effectively communicate with clients and offer solutions within the VLS portfolio.
- Resolve promptly issues escalated by client or sales feedback and share outcome to constituents.
- Maintain communication, both verbally and electronically, efficiently, and professionally.
- Provide reports, data, and analyses to customers.
- Analyze needs, recognize potential issues, research alternatives, and provide solutions.
- Assist with aged receivable collection as required.
- Assist with billing and manifest tracking issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-5 years of administrative and/or inside sales experience; or degree in related field.
- Experience in special waste, solid waste, or recycling industry preferred.
- Desire to have direct customer contact & provide high level of customer service.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to use sound judgment and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels both orally and in written form.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
