Job Description
Summary: Primarily responsible for generating new catering business and maximizing opportunities within existing clientele. Targets, coordinates, and closes catering sales efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is to drive catering revenue through direct sales efforts such as prospecting, cold calling, email, and facilitating virtual and in person sales presentations.
- Identify key accounts and develop any relationships to maximize opportunity.
- Builds and maintains a book of business, prioritizing new business acquisition while maintaining strategic relationships with existing clients
- Ensures superior customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
- Utilizes CRM software in real time and leverages the system to optimize the sales process.
- Strong Time Management and organizational skills to manage multiple store locations
- Assist with guest service comments or guest catering requests
- Assist store locations within the region accordingly on heavy catering volume days
- Engages the community through valuable networking events.
- Communicate with local store teams on catering goals, events or orders
- Attends company sales and weekly meetings
- Delivers on monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals along with other set metrics.
- Acts as a partner to the operations team including motivating, educating, and mentoring through sales strategies to grow catering for their respective areas.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Three to five years of sales experience. Catering or Multi Unit Sales experience is preferred. The candidate will need business-to-business sales with a consultative selling approach. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to multitask while staying organized. This job requires someone who is highly motivated and has a passion for hospitality.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four to six years related restaurant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Training:
- Prior Catering and Sales experience preferred
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Proof of Automobile Insurance
