Job Description

This role involves a combination of design expertise and sales acumen to create visually appealing and functional spaces while meeting sales targets. The Interior Design Sales Consultant collaborates with clients, leverages design knowledge, and ensures an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultation:

    • Conduct consultations with clients to understand their design preferences, lifestyle, and project requirements.

    • Assess client needs and provide tailored design solutions.

  • Product Knowledge:

    • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of interior design products, materials, and trends.

    • Stay updated on new products and design innovations.

  • Design Presentation:

    • Create and present design concepts, mood boards, and floor plans to clients.

    • Communicate the benefits and features of recommended products.

  • Sales and Revenue Generation:

    • Meet or exceed sales targets by effectively promoting and selling interior design products and services.

    • Provide accurate quotes, pricing information, and proposals.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and nurture client relationships to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

    • Communicate with clients throughout the design and sales process.

  • Collaboration with Design Team:

    • Coordinate with interior designers and other team members to implement design concepts.

    • Ensure seamless collaboration between sales and design functions.

  • Space Planning:

    • Assist clients in space planning and furniture arrangement to optimize functionality and aesthetics.

    • Consider factors such as lighting, color schemes, and design principles.

  • Product Sourcing and Selection:

    • Source and select furniture, fabrics, accessories, and other design elements.

    • Provide guidance on customization options.

  • Budget Management:

    • Work within clients' budget constraints and provide cost-effective design solutions.

    • Provide transparent pricing and cost breakdowns.

  • Client Presentations and Meetings:

    • Conduct product presentations, design reviews, and progress meetings with clients.

    • Address client feedback and make necessary adjustments.

  • Market Trends Analysis:

    • Stay informed about interior design and home décor trends in the local market.

    • Use market insights to offer relevant and contemporary design options.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in interior design and sales, preferably in a showroom or design consultancy.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and sales achievements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in design software and tools.

  • Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet or exceed targets.

  • Knowledge of furniture, textiles, finishes, and interior design principles.

  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

  • Time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
